A family friendly music and arts festival to stand in opposition against the proposed Salem gas plant, and celebrate the alternative possibilities for the site.

On August 16, we’ll gather in Salem for a family-friendly “Festival for Our Future” to show our continued opposition to the proposed Salem gas plant.

We’ll envision a clean energy future for Salem and beyond through children’s games, art projects, speeches, more.

The Soul and Jazz Festival at Salem Willows is the same weekend, so come and make a day of it!

The jazz festival and the action will both be accessible by trolley from the commuter rail station.
There will be booths and tables containing information about the proposed gas plant and climate change in general.

At the center of the booths will be a large-scale model of Salem harbor with different alternatives for the site other than a gas plant.

Festival-goers will have the opportunity to show what they want to see as the future of the site by rearranging and adding to the sculpture.
