The FWB Kite Festival will take place on the southern end of Wollaston Beach. This event is a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon, and will take place from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M.
Families are invited to come fly a kite on the beach. There will be a “kite making activity” for children. Family friendly event co-sponsored with the DCR.
There is ample parking along the beach.

From Points South/Cape Cod
- Rte 3N to Rte 93N/Boston
- Take Furnace Brook Parkway Exit
- At bottom of ramp, go right and follow signs for Furnace Brook Parkway
- Follow Furnace Brook Parkway for approximately 5 miles to end of Wollaston Beach
- Take a left at light onto Quincy Shore Drive
- Go about 2 miles along the beach to Quincy Shore Dr. and Herbert Rd.
From Points West/Dedham
- Take Rte128 towards Braintree/Quincy
- Bear left towards Boston on Rte 93N
- Take Furnace Brook Parkway Exit
- At bottom of ramp, go right and follow signs for Furnace Brook Parkway
- Follow Furnace Brook Parkway for approximately 5 miles to end of Wollaston Beach
- Take a left at light onto Quincy Shore Drive
- Go about 2 miles along the beach to Quincy Shore Dr. and Herbert Rd.
From Points North/Boston
- Travel South on Rte 93 towards Quincy
- Take Exit 12, Quincy/Neponset Circle exit
- At bottom of exit ramp, stay to the right following signs for Quincy
- Take Neponset River Bridge to Quincy following signs for Quincy
- While on bridge stay to the left which will become Quincy Shore Drive
- Proceed straight along Quincy Shore Drive for about 2 miles
