The Spooky Forest Story Club is a creative community of artists and writers of all ages that participate in storytelling workshops held by Alison Blanchette, creator of Spooky Forest Co.

Workshops will be held as a four-part series with each 2 hour session focusing on different aspects of the storytelling process.

Join one or all four to become a part of the Spooky Forest Story Club!

All workshops will be held at the Mother Crewe Naturals Studio* in Downtown Plymouth.

Spooky Forest Story Club Spring Workshop Series - Part II will focus on worldbuilding and scene set up.

Workshop Theme: Strange Forests

We will begin with an introduction to worldbuilding and a brief overview of different woodland environments - both local and around the world.

Participants will first create a strange forest of their own using a variety of mixed media materials to create a woodland collage scene.

Then we will bring our worlds to life by imagining inhabitants and brainstorming stories with a creative writing activity.

We will wrap up the day with group share.

All materials will be provided and step-by-step instructions will be given.

Participants will receive a copy of a special edition Spooky Forest Story Club notebook to continue their stories after the workshop!

Limited light refreshments & small snacks will be provided.

Outside food and drink are allowed.

Please let the instructor know if you have any allergies prior to the workshop.

This workshop is best suited for children ages 7-14.

Participants must be able to write, safely use scissors and follow instructions.

For children under 7 it is recommended that a parent, older sibling, or guardian join the workshop to assist as needed*.

*The MCN Studio is located in Downtown Plymouth on the 2nd floor.

If you need access to our wheelchair lift, please contact the instructor or the studio before the class so we can accommodate your needs.

Workshop Admission Cost - $30.00

*Any adult/guardian joining the workshop with a child participant, please add the free adult admission when checking out.
