Yankee Homecoming is a beloved 9-day summer festival featuring over 200 events that celebrate Newburyport’s rich history and vibrant community. From waterfront concerts and art shows to family activities and parades, there’s something for everyone.
🗓️ 2026 Highlights
July 25: Kick Off Party at Cashman Park Baseball Field, 5 - 9 PM. Includes the High School Battle of the Bands, 6 - 9 PM. Competitive Cornhole Competition at the Elks Lodge, 5 - 9 PM
July 25 - 26: Art on the Bartlet Mall (44th year), Bartlet Mall, 10 AM - 4 PM.
July 26: Olde Fashioned Sunday at Bartlet Mall, 10 AM - 3:30 PM. Beginner Cornhole Tournament at Bartlet Mall. Waterfront Concert Series begins at Waterfront Park, 7:30 PM (runs through August 2).
July 26 - August 2: Waterfront Morning Workout Series at Waterfront Park.
July 27: Geno Open Golf Tournament at Ould Newbury Country Club, 8 AM - 2 PM. Kids Talent Show at Waterfront Park, 11 AM - 1 PM. Waiter/Waitress Race on Liberty Street, 3:30 - 5 PM.
July 28: Yankee Homecoming Craft Show at Waterfront Park, 10 AM - 6 PM. Veterans Luncheon at the Elks Lodge, 11:30 AM - 3 PM.
July 29: Generations of Giving at the Council on Aging, 4 - 6 PM.
July 30: U.S. Coast Guard Open House, 10 AM - 2 PM.
July 30 - August 1: Sidewalk Sales downtown.
August 1: Family Day at Nock Middle School, 10 AM - 2 PM. Fireworks, 9:15 PM.
August 2: Parade, 12 - 3 PM.
