Yankee Homecoming is a beloved 9-day summer festival featuring over 200 events that celebrate Newburyport’s rich history and vibrant community. From waterfront concerts and art shows to family activities and parades, there’s something for everyone.
🗓️ 2025 Highlights
Saturday, July 26
Road Rally (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
A scenic, clue-based driving adventure starting at Rupert A. Nock Middle School.
Art on the Bartlet Mall (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
A juried art show featuring local artists.
Brewfest Fundraiser (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
Enjoy craft beers, food trucks, and live music at Cashman Park.
High School Battle of the Bands (6:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
Talented student bands compete on the Waterfront Stage
Sunday, July 27
Olde Fashioned Sunday (10:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Step back in time with vintage games, classic cars, and family fun at Bartlet Mall.
Waterfront Concert Series Begins (7:30 PM – 9:00 PM)
Nightly live music at Waterfront Park continues through August 2.
Tuesday, July 29
NBPT Lions Yankee Homecoming Road Race
Join the 65th annual 5K and 10-mile races through scenic Newburyport.
Saturday, August 2
Family Day at Nock Middle School (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
Games, crafts, and activities for kids of all ages.
**FIREWORKS Display** (9:15 PM)
A spectacular show over the Merrimack River to light up the night sky.
Sunday, August 3
Yankee Homecoming Parade (11:00 AM)
A grand procession down High Street featuring bands, floats, and community groups.
