Boston’s Family Fireworks sponsored by The Mugar Foundation and the City of Boston, will take place on the Boston Common near the Ball Field at 7:00 PM. Since 1999, every New Year’s Eve the Mugar Foundation, along with the city of Boston’s Mayor, presents Boston’s Family Fireworks Celebration.
On December 31 at 7 PM, a 12-minute New Year’s Eve fireworks display takes place at the Boston Common Ballfield so that families and children can celebrate the New Year without having to wait until midnight.
Revelers of all ages will have a front-row seat to this very special pyrotechnic celebration.
In addition to the family fireworks display, many other beloved traditions of First Night’s past will continue again this year, including cultural and musical performances in various indoor venues around the Back Bay, fantastic ice sculptures, light displays, a midnight fireworks display over Boston Harbor, and lots more.
