New England Revolution players get their hands sticky for a good cause.

Players Teal Bunbury and Kelyn Rowe will scoop ice cream, take photos, and sign autographs for fans at the Newbury Street Ben & Jerry’s on Wednesday, August 13.

The Rev Girls and team mascot, Slyde, will also have Revolution giveaways, while fans will get a sneak peek at the Kelyn Rowe limited-edition bobblehead.

Fans are encouraged to purchase their favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavors from their favorite Rev players.

Cradles to Crayons—a Boston-based nonprofit that provides homeless or low-income children with essential items needed to thrive at home, school, and play—will receive 50 percent of all sales and 100 percent of all tips.

As part of the Revolution’s Charity Drive Series, fans are also invited to donate notebooks, pencils, pens, binders and other school supplies.

All items collected—along with those donated on Aug. 23 at Gillette Stadium during the team’s game day drive—will be donated to Cradles to Crayons.

Wednesday, August 13, 2014 - 4 to 5:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.
