On September 10, 2017, Wright-Locke Farm and Winchester’s Boy Scout Troop 507 will host its first-ever Rick’s Fall Festival to benefit ALS ONE (www.alsone.org).

Rick Marks is a long-time Winchester resident and local Scout leader who was sadly diagnosed with ALS last fall.

The Marks family is dedicating their time to help raise awareness and funding for the disease; and Wright-Locke Farm and Troop 507 will be hosting the Fall Festival to help support their mission.

Rick’s Fall Festival is a family fun event with activities for all ages that will be held on Sunday, September 10th from 3:00-7:00 pm at Wright-Locke Farm, 82 Ridge Street, Winchester, MA.

The cost of the event will be $20 per person or $30 per family, and all proceeds from the event will go to ALS ONE.

ALS ONE is a non-profit partnership of many of the leading ALS experts in the world from venerable institutions, including Massachusetts General Hospital, UMass Medical School, ALS Therapy Development Institute and Compassionate Care ALS, with the goal of finding treatments or cure for ALS by 2020, while improving care for those battling ALS now.

You can read about Rick’s journey on the Appalachian Trail raising funds and awareness for ALSONE at www.rickshikeforals.org.

Rick’s Fall Festival will have fun for all ages, including:

Food: Boston Burger, Frozen Hoagie Ice Cream Sandwiches, and other vendors will be selling food.

Wright-Locke Farm will have beer and wine for sale in the barn.

Troop 507 will be selling popcorn, lemonade, and water.

Games: A variety of games for everyone to enjoy, including mini golf; cornhole; outdoor Jenga; and various backyard party games such as three-legged races, donut on a string, and water balloon toss.

Raffles: Various items will be raffled off, including Bruins Tickets, Celtics tickets, tickets to see Evita at the North Shore Music Theater as well as other items.

Hiking: Guided hikes will depart every half hour along a loop trail behind Wright-Locke farm and will include a demonstration of what a backpacking pack looks and feels like (trail approximately ¾ of a mile long).

Live Music: Live music from Off the Record, performing classic rock; James Fullerton with New Orleans style keyboard and vocals; and Shukelele.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online at http://weblink.donorperfect.com/RICKSFALLFESTIVAL
as well as at the door on the day of the event.

Guests should bring picnic blankets and/or folding chairs for their own comfort.

No outside food or drinks, please.
