In collaboration with the Winter Walk, Beantown Blankets will host this inaugural event on Boston Common on Sunday, September 30th, 2018.
The Beantown Blankets organization was founded in 2016 by twelve Babson College sophomores.
Today, Beantown Blankets strives to improve the lives of others.
For every Beantown Blanket purchased, a duplicate blanket is donated to homeless individuals in need.
The Winter Walk raises awareness and funds to help end homelessness in Boston.
It centers on an annual walk, 2 miles around the city of Boston in February, the coldest month of the year.
The Winter Walk brings together a number of Greater Boston's incredible homeless service programs to show the powerful work being done in our city.
The 3rd annual Winter Walk will be held on February 10, 2019.
Beantown Blankets is thrilled to partner with the Winter Walk on September 30th, providing a day to come together for lunch on Boston Common, sitting shoulder to shoulder with our city's homeless community to enjoy a meal and community for a good cause.
Purchasing tickets provides lunch and an opportunity to purchase a Beantown Blanket for your picnic.
Meals for those in need will be provided free of charge.
A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Winter Walk, every Beantown Blanket purchased will provide a free blanket to someone in need, and there will be opportunities to learn more and register for the February Winter Walk event!
