Our Halloween themed “Gravedigger’s Gala” will be held at the Endicott Estate on East Street, Friday, October 25th from 7-11PM, and repeated annually, we hope, to build the endowment for the perpetual care of the Old Village Cemetery.

Silent and Live Auctions:
The evening will feature a silent (as the grave) auction, and a live (as permitted under the circumstances) auction, with celebrity auctioneer, Michael Grogan.

Among the many items will be an original oil painting by Nancy Sargent Howell, renowned local artist, and a truly mysterious signed illustration, completed within the sanctified walls of the Cemetery, itself, by children’s book author and illustrator super star, Peter Reynolds.

For sports fans there’s an autographed and framed picture of Patriot Free Safety, Devin McCourty, and a signed jersey from local boy, Noah Hanifin, of the Calgary Flames, which includes tickets to a Flames/Bruins game.

Open Bar and Food:
The Gala will feature an open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres, including a Gala Signature Cocktail called “Beyond the Grave” (no more than two without a letter from your doctor) concocted by noted mixologist, Joe Flanagan, Director of the Dedham DPW.

Additionally, there will be seasonal decorations, including live sculptures, and fortunes by a crystal ball gazer known only as Madame Dar Sees, whose uncanny grasp of the future can only be described in our disclaimer.

Creative Costumes are Optional:

From Rt.128/95 take Exit 14 'East Street, Dedham'. Proceed along East St. towards East Dedham (0.8 miles) to the Endicott Rotary. Go around the rotary and under the railroad bridge. (Gas station will remain on your left).
Continue on East St. (0.5 miles) until you reach the Endicott Estate on your right.
Follow the driveway on right to parking area in rear.
