The Junior League of Boston’s Annual Charity Gala, being held on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at the Fairmont Copley in Back Bay, is shaping up to be the League’s most exciting and largest fundraiser of the year!

This year’s Gala will feature a live auctioneer, casino games, and entertainment by the band Flipside.

We will also feature hearty food stations and passed hors d’oeuvres provided by the Fairmont’s exceptional catering team and signature martinis and cocktails provided by Tito’s.

Our silent auction this year is not to be missed and will feature several unique items, including autographed game balls from Tom Brady and Paul Pierce, luxury tickets to an upcoming Boston Celtics game, and items from Simon Pearce and Longchamp.

We also have an extensive array of travel experiences this year, including a safari package to South Africa, an all-inclusive trip to the Caribbean, and weekend adventures to Scottsdale and Napa!

By way of brief background, JL Boston is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing the potential of women through the effective action of trained volunteers.

Our direct service programs focus on the health and wellness of women and girls in our communities.

JL Boston members devote more than 8,000 volunteer hours each year to our community initiatives, which include STEM and arts education, mentoring programs for middle and high school-age girls, and support programs for single mothers attending college.

In addition, we support like-minded non-profit organizations, such as the Ellie Fund, which provides free services to breast cancer patients, and Women’s Lunch Place, provides meals and basic necessities to women in need, with well-trained volunteers to support their events.

All proceeds raised in conjunction with the Annual Charity Gala will directly contribute to JL Boston’s ability to run these much-needed programs in the greater Boston community.

For example, the cost of one ticket ($250) will supply over 40 meals to our Kids in the Kitchen program, which teaches adolescent children how to cook healthy meals at home for their working families.

By purchasing two tickets to the Gala, you will fund a field trip to the Museum of Science for our STEM program.

By bidding on and winning the autographed Tom Brady football, you will fund a leadership development program for a group of 6th grade girls in the greater Boston area.
