On October 18 & 19, volunteers from across the North Shore will gather to pack 50,000 lunches for schoolchildren in the remote mountain village of St. Louis d’Ayiti, Haiti.

Volunteers will gather for four two-hour shifts at Christ Church (Episcopal) of Hamilton and Wenham, 149 Asbury St., Hamilton, MA.

Participants will be trained to work assembly lines to pack vitamin-fortified meals of rice, beans and dehydrated vegetables.

They will experience the satisfaction of hands-on work to help others, and will come away from the experience with a better understanding of profound, “no-safety-net” poverty, and the importance of education in building a more resilient future for Haiti.

All ages (5–105) and abilities are welcome to participate.

To sign up for a packing session (and/or to donate to help defray the cost of the 100,000 meals), visit HERE!

The Packathon is an outreach of Future Forward for Haiti, a 501(c)3 nonprofit licensed as a fundraising organization by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
