The Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History on the campus of Regis College is holding its annual Ride a Bike to the Museum Month during June.
Ride your bike to the Museum and receive free admission. Activities for children include scavenger hunts, arts & crafts, and an exhibit on the history of bicycles. Free stamps.
Youngsters can also make stamp rainbows and bookmarks.
On Sunday June 17 at 9:00 the Charles River Wheelers Bike Club will be starting off on its weekly ride from the Museum and welcomes new riders.
In addition, the monthly Riverside Stamp Club sale will meet that day from 10:00 to 3:00.
The Museum has prepared a special exhibit of Bicycles on Stamps from around the world that traces the history of these wheeled bipeds.
Also on exhibit is “A Celebration of 100 Years of US Airmail” plus other displays about rural free delivery, civil war envelopes and mail carried by zeppelins.
