One of the films being shown at the festival is “KOMBIT: The Cooperative” a documentary by award-winning filmmakers Found Object, which chronicles an unlikely partnership between a Haitian agronomist and a former NGO leader that begins with a pledge by bootmaker Timberland to plant five million trees in five years.
The film quickly becomes a story of empowerment, friendship and hope for the people of Haiti.
