Manomet and Concord Art are pleased to invite you to our upcoming event, Activating Interested Bystanders to Help Solve Climate Change.

Manomet President John Hagan and Climate Services Senior Program Leader Eric Walberg will share concrete examples from Manomet’s work to show how we motivate interested bystanders and why it’s important.

The discussion and reception will take place Wednesday, November 16, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Concord Art.

Manomet is a leader in the path to sustainability and focuses our work where we can have measurable impact and opportunity for scale.

We work on four major life-supporting systems: natural, forest, food, and economic.

By applying science and engaging people, Manomet provides practical ways to act—where people live and work.

“Science is telling us that the climate is now changing and changing fast,” says Hagan.

“Economics tells us the cost of climate impacts will be staggering.

How we manage the critical systems that support life on earth will need to be transformed in the next two decades.

To do this, Manomet works with the people who manage these systems to change them.

We’re looking forward to sharing how we’ve brought together these ‘system managers’ and engaged them on sustainability to effect real change.”

The Manomet/Concord Art event will focus on how to get the interested bystander off the sidelines and play an active role in solving climate change—one of the biggest challenges humans have faced.

There will be a Wine & Cheese Reception from 6:00-7:00 PM and the presentation will begin at 7:00 PM.

There is no charge for this event, but registration is required.
