Spring is the perfect time to explore our wetlands.
Where does the water come from, where does it go, and what lives in there?
Join us to explore the Concord River wetland.
We’ll climb an observation tower to get a bird’s eye view, walk out on a dike lined with cattails to look for plants and animals, and watch the river flow by to look for otters.
You never know what we will see along the trail—frog, snake, turtle, muskrat, butterfly, birds—but it is always busy!
Wear boots.
This program is part of our “Family Hikes” series.
Are you looking for a Saturday morning family adventure?
Join us for a guided nature walk.
Our naturalists will lead you on short walks pointing out interesting plants, rocks, insects, and wildlife and illustrating how everything in nature is connected.
Preregistration and payment is required for each adult and child (children under two admitted free of charge).
