The walk is co-hosted with the Boston Mycological Club and is an introduction to mushrooms and lichens.While the season for many choice edible mushrooms has passed, some mushrooms are visible year-round.
Participants will also gain awareness of lichens and learn to recognize common lichens they may encounter.
Since lichens are small, please bring a hand lens or plan to use your smartphone's camera to zoom in.
This event will begin at the Cat Rock Parking lot.
