NOTE: Gloucester Fireworks Update – 2025Due to rising costs, the Gloucester Fireworks Committee will host one fireworks show this year during the Gloucester Schooner Festival on Labor Day Weekend. This celebration of our city’s maritime heritage is a special moment for our community, and we’re proud to continue this tradition.
If we’re able to raise enough funds and receive support from the City, we would love to bring back the July 3rd show as well. A final decision must be made by May 21 to allow for proper planning.
We’re so thankful for the continued financial support, the help spreading the word, and the dedicated efforts of the City, DPW, Fire, and Police Departments for helping keep these shows going.

Gloucester's annual fireworks will start at 10:00 p.m. over Gloucester Harbor. Set up your chairs and blankets along the harbor to enjoy this Independence Day celebration. A free event.
9:30 p.m. - Grand Fireworks Display over Gloucester Harbor
Come help us count down to the FIREWORKS!
Because there is *no Horribles Parade this year, parking is available at the high school, a 2 block walk to the harbor. Concert will start about 6pm at the bridge and run until the fireworks start at 9:30, then again after.

There will be no rain date. If the show is cancelled due to weather, it be combined with the Labor Day weekend show on Saturday, August 30th. That show will begin sometime between 9:15 and 9:25 as it starts at the conclusion of the Lighted Boat Parade.
