annual dcr neponset pumpkin parade photoThe annual Neponset Pumpkin Float is just around the corner. Bring your 6-8 inch carved pumpkin to ⁦‪@MassDCR‬⁩ Pope John Paul II Park and enjoy an evening of family-friendly fun! (**CARVE your pumpkin ahead of time!)

Bring your carved pumpkin & head on down to DCR's Pope John Paul II Park on Hallet St. in Dorchester this Thurs. Oct 28 @ 5:30PM for the Neponset Pumpkin Parade!

Costumes and carved pumpkins along the Neponset Greenway with music, candy and a pumpkin patch sponsored by DCR, Neponset River Greenway Council and NepRWA. Candy by Phillips Candy House.

Check-in at 5:30 pm. Float begins at 6:00pm. Each jack-o-lantern will have a candle inserted and lit before being launched en mass in the water at 6:00 pm.

Floats and candles will be provided. The result will be a beautiful water parade of spooky pumpkins.

The event is free and no registration is required.

Pumpkins will be collected for composting and floats are recycled for next year’s event making this a green tradition.
