On Halloween, everyone in the Tropical Forest will be celebrating! The gorilla exhibit will be festively decorated and visitors will have the opportunity to watch as the gorillas enjoy pumpkins as a seasonal treat.While bats, spiders and snakes are all associated with creepy Halloween lore, these animals all play important roles in healthy ecosystems.
Visit the biofacts table to meet with the Zoo’s educators and learn more about these creatures. At 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., be sure to stop by the Hippo Theater to see one of the Education program animals and ask questions.
Throughout the event, there will be plenty of Halloween arts and crafts as well as candy for visitors. Costumes are encouraged!
