The City of Quincy presents the annual Christmas Parade and Festival, including the ceremonial Tree Lighting, annual Christmas parade and Santa arriving via helicopter to greet the kids!
This year’s theme is “A Storybook Christmas”, and organizers are continuing to looking for creative, festive entries that bring holiday stories to life with lights, costumes, music, and inflatable decorations.
Lineup on Nov. 29 begins at 3:30 p.m. at the Board of Education parking lot (Jersey side entrance). The judging begins at 4 p.m., with the parade scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. The route runs down Maine Street from 14th to 5th.
Santa will close the parade and be dropped off at The District’s Light the Park celebration.
The Annual Christmas Parade has been a tradition for Quincy families for many years. Floats, marching bands, and costumed characters fill Quincy streets, spreading holiday joy to all.
The parade route begins at the intersection of Hancock Street and Walter J. Hannon Parkway, continuing up Hancock Street and concluding at North Quincy High School.
Come enjoy the Hancock Adams Common, decked with twinkling lights and a host of holiday displays!
A heated tent will be set up for the event.
