In the tradition of the founding families of Congregation Shalom, there is no use of tickets for High Holiday services. While this service is geared towards families with children that are readers and older, all are welcome.
It will be led by Rabbi Shoshana Perry, with music led by cantorial soloist Meryl Gold.
The prayerbook for this service is a High Holiday family prayerbook designed for children in the third grade and above.
While this service is designed to be especially relevant for children age eight or above, it is similar in observance to the adult service that follows and includes a Torah service.
Some adults even prefer the family service.
