Ice Castles (Lincoln, New Hampshire)
Ice Castles, an acre of land filled with frozen ice walls, tunnels, towers, and archways illuminated by multicolored lights, is a literal winter wonderland. (Actual open dates for 2020 are still TBD and weather dependent).
Itís safe for people of all ages, too, and its location in Lincoln, New Hampshire is just a two hour drive from Boston. So visiting Ice Castles is a magical (and doable) day trip for folks from the Greater Boston area.
New this year, guests can take an enchanted walk through the forest. The walking path will include ice sculptures and plenty of photo opportunities. Guests can also hop on a horse-drawn sleigh ride that takes them through the forest and around the hand-built attraction.

This year, guests will find the towering ice formations that weigh more than 20 million pounds ó complete with tunnels, thrones, fountains, slides, and LED lights ó on Clark Farm Road in North Woodstock, N.H., a few miles from their previous location of the past five years at the Hobo Railroad in Lincoln.
Weather permitting, work on the castles will begin in early November by growing and harvesting up to 10,000 icicles each day, according to the Utah-based company. Davis expects them to open in early January.
Enjoy a high energy fire show at Ice Castles! They will amaze you with a versatile and unique show using many different manipulation props including fire breathing, spinning, hula, and more. Shows run periodically throughout the set times.

- Standby Tickets are sold on a very limited basis. If we are sold out of online tickets, then Standby tickets are not available.
- Dress for winter! Warm clothes and winter boots are best. Shoes and boots with flat soles (like dress shoes or cowboy boots) are slippery and not recommended.
- Everything inside the Ice Castle is made of ice and snow, including the walking paths. On sunny, warm days, the ice and snow will melt and the surface can become slippery.
