The Blue Bunny Bookstore is thrilled to welcome New York Times #1 Best Selling Author/Artist JAN BRETT to Dedham on Saturday, November 24, 2018.Jan Brett will be presenting her newest book THE SNOWY NAP, a prequel to her children’s classics, THE MITTEN and THE HAT, at an event at the Allin Congregational Church on High Street, just 2 blocks away from The Blue Bunny.
THE SNOWY NAP (G.P. Putnam’s Sons) is a cozy bedtime story starring Hedgie, Brett’s trademark character.
Inspired by his friends’ tales of their marvelous past winter adventures, Hedgie is determined not to sleep through all the fun again.
Jan Brett is a New York Times #1 bestselling author/illustrator, with over 40 million books in print, and has brought to life lovable characters and imaginary backdrops for children for more than 30 years.
Her illustrations are adored for their classic beauty and vibrant, life-like images of animals, landscapes, and flourishes from cultures around the world.
Due to the popularity of Jan Brett, the following guidelines are provided for the event:
Tickets will be available for the event at a cost of $25.
Ticket price includes one hardcover copy of THE SNOWY NAP, which will be provided at the event for signing and personalizing by Jan Brett.
Each ticket admits 2 people (Note: all children must be accompanied by an adult and only 2 people can admitted with each ticket - thus each ticket is good for 1 child/1 adult or 2 adults - the number of tickets available is based on strict space limitations).
Ticket price includes price of book, tax, venue, and service fees.
The event will include a presentation by Jan Brett about her books and illustration work, particularly about THE SNOWY NAP, and a short drawing demonstration, followed by a booksigning.
Attendees will have the opportunity to take photos with Jan Brett and a costumed 'Hedgie' character at the event.
Additional copies of THE SNOWY NAP and many of Jan Brett's other books will be available for purchase at the event.
Depending on the number of attendees and number of books purchased, there may be limitations on the number of books per customer that are able to be signed at the event.
Due to the expected number of books to be signed, The Blue Bunny requests that no books be brought to the event for signing.
However, extra signed bookplates will be available to all attendees for any treasured copies at home.
Signed book plates will also be made available for those who are unable to wait in line.
Due to the expected demand for tickets, no more than 4 tickets per order may be purchased (allowing no more than 8 individuals).
We understand that the demand for tickets may exceed our capacity.
