On the anniversary of the Boston Massacre, there will be a full day of events for adults and children alike - activities for kids start at 11 am and the reenactment will be held at 7 pm!

Little Redcoats and Little Bostonians, 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Young visitors will experience what life was like for Bostonians and British soldiers in Boston in the months leading up to the Boston Massacre. Free; in front the Old State House.

Talk of the Town at 1PM - 4PM
Inside the Old State House. Included with museum admission.

Immerse yourself in Bostonís colonial past and meet citizens who lived through the contentious period of the military occupation. Gain insight and perspective on historic events that led to the American Revolution by asking questions and hearing accounts from living historians.

History Hunters at 1:30PM & 3:30PM
Inside the Old State House. Included with museum admission.

Unique and personal stories take center stage in this activity for young visitors, ages 5-12, and their families. Use the tools of a historian to interact with the past and help colonists and soldiers discover the truth! Space is limited. Sign up with museum staff as early as 9:30AM on Saturday, March 3rd.

Convening of Bostonians at 6PM
Outside the Old State House. Free and open to all.

Before the action unfolds, watch downtown Boston transform into its colonial past as the citizens of the city gather outside the Old State House. Arrive early to hear from patriots, loyalists, and moderates who lived through the events that sparked the Revolution.


Boston Massacre Reenactment, 7:00 p.m.
Join us and become a part of this infamous event as it is reenacted in front of the Old State House, in the very place where it took place in 1770.

Witness the violent and tumultuous incident on King Street, reenacted by living historians. Once the smoke clears, explore the galleries of the Old State House and discover how the aftermath of the Boston Massacre led to the birth of a nation.

Decide for yourself if the soldiers fired into the crowd in self-defense or cold-blooded murder. Before the action unfolds, hear from patriots, loyalists, and moderates who will talk about the events and attitudes that led to that fateful night. Free; in front of the Old State House.
