The Skating Rink is open to the public for skating lessons, hockey leagues and private rentals. The rink offers skate rentals of both figure skates and hockey skates.
There will be NO food concessions this year due to COVID-19 protocols. All skaters must pre-register for open skate ahead of time. Please visit the Brookline Recreation home page under Ice Skating Reservations to reserve time.
Come brave that brisk New England chill with your family at the Larz Anderson Skating Rink! Get your family up and ready for these Sunday morning open skate times reserved specifically for families with a child or children who have a disability as well as adults in the community of all abilities.
There will be trained staff available to assist anyone who may need some extra guidance. Although special considerations have been made to accommodate everyone, we ask that any children under the age of 18 to be accompanied by an adult.
An ice sled available for someone who uses a wheelchair or needs it due to decreased muscular strength or endurance.
Maximum number of people allowed is 50 during week day and 100 on weekends
Masks must be worn at all times

The Rink opens December through February for Public Skating:
Tuesday and Thursday 9:00-11:30 a.m.
Friday 8:00-10:00 p.m.,
Saturday and Sunday 12:00-5:00 p.m.
*Extended Hours 10AM-5PM
Weekday Public Skate Hours
Tues & Thurs 9:30-10:30am and 10:45-11:45am
Fri 12:00-1:00pm and 1:15-2:15pm.
Weekend Public Skate Hours
Fri 9:00-10:00pm
Sat & Sun 1:15-2:15pm, 2:30-3:30pm and 3:45-4:45pm
Resident Only Public Skate Hours
Fri 7:45-8:45pm
Sat & Sun 12:00-1:00pm
Vacation Week & Holiday Hours:
12:00-1:00pm, 1:15-2:15pm, 2:30-3:30pm and 3:45-4:45pm.
Adult Drop-In Hockey
Mon & Wed 9:15-10:30pm
Sun 7:30AM-9:15AM
*Additional public skating hours are available during the December and February public school vacation weeks.
