The 'Lexington Alarm,' the letter drafted the morning of April 19, 1775 to alert the colonies that war with the British had begun with the shots fired on the Lexington Green will be on display.

This historic manuscript supports the claim that the skirmish in Lexington was, indeed, the principle event that launched the American War for Independence.

The 'Alarm' letter, which had been in a private collection for 220 years, is placed on view once a year at the Museum in honor of Patriot's Day.
