Start your weekend @ the MIT Museum Second Friday event. This months topic - Living in the Future, Where Sci-Fi Movies Meet Science Reality. Free pizza from 5-6pm.

Can a humanoid robot with supernumerary limbs and a thumbnail trackpad make oxygen on Mars while using a bouncing camera?

No.

But you can learn about any of these ideas and technologies and compare them to what you've see on the big screen!

Sit back, grab some pizza and popcorn, and enjoy short clips from the fantastic and futuristic movies of yesterday and today while MIT scientists and inventors describe how close we are to realizing Hollywood's hopes for the future.
