A free day of genealogy research, lectures, and consultations at New England Historic Genealogical Society for Boy Scout troops working towards earning their Genealogy or My Family Story merit badges.

Explore millions of records on our shelves and in our online databases, work one-on-one with a professional genealogist, and discover clues to your family's past.

Engaging lectures for beginners will occur in the morning and afternoon, and consultations will happen throughout the day.

Scout troops must pre-register for this event.

If you are a scout leader registering for your troop the above 'QTY' should reflect all adults and scouts within your group.

Once you register we will contact you regarding the experience level of your scouts and their areas of interest.

The New England Historic Genealogical Society is located in Boston's Back Bay Neighborhood at 99-101 Newbury Street. NEHGS is most easily accessible from the MBTA Green Line stops of Copley or Arlington, or the Orange Line stop at Back Bay Station. Paid parking is available in neighborhood garages or on street meters.
