Everyone knows of Paul Revere’s midnight ride, but in this lecture, Robert Martello, Professor of the History of Science and Technology at Olin College of Engineering, will explore Revere’s role as an entrepreneur and craftsman.

In the aftermath of the revolution, Revere undertook financial risk and introduced technological innovations which put him at the forefront of the new American economy.

In this lecture Professor Martello will discuss how Revere transitioned from a colonial artisan to a business-minded manufacturer during the years of the early republic.

A book signing will follow.
