Join us on July 21st and 22nd at Bakers Island Light Station for our first ever living history event!

Essex Heritage is partnering with the Commonwealth Vintage Dancers to recreate a sense of what Bakers Island was like during the days of the Winne-Egan Hotel, Bakers Island’s premier summer destination during the late 19th and early 20th century.

Meet Victorian dressed interpreters, play a game of croquet, enjoy the views and learn about the history of the island during the height of its summer colony.

This encampment will take place at the Light Station on the island during the weekend of July 21-22, 2018, in conjunction with regular boat and site tours!
