Join the Leventhal Map and Education Center and the Newton Free Library for a deep dive into Newton’s historical geography.

Using Atlascope, the Leventhal Center’s user-friendly portal for exploring urban atlases, this live-streamed event will explore what Newton was like in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, investigate how the community has changed over time, help attendees discover what stood on the sites of their favorite Newton landmarks and learn how to research the history of their own homes and neighborhoods.

This event, co-sponsored by Historic Newton, will be broadcast online at the Leventhal Center’s YouTube Live and Facebook Live channels on May 10, 2021 at 7:00pm EDT.

The event is free, open to the public, and will include ample opportunities for audience questions and participation.

Registration is available here.
