Experience the timeless beauty of Hammond Castle Museum in a brand-new way!This year YOU can learn to sketch the enchanting grounds and breathtaking interior spaces of this celebrated New England landmark, as Hammond Castle Museum has partnered with Slow River Studio to bring you sketching classes here at the Museum.
Slow River Studio caters to all skill sets, teaching artistic skills and creative confidence in every class.
From stick figure doodlers to first-rate talents, all are welcome!
You will become an accomplished creator as you stretch outside of your comfort zone in a supportive environment!
Sketching classes will take place both inside and outside the Castle, with participants using watercolors and pencil for sketching.
(Please note: no pastels, oils, or acrylics are permitted.) Each class will cost $15 per participant.
Free parking available on site.
Each class runs from 10AM to 12PM on the following dates: July 10th, September 11th, October 16th & December 4th.

How to reach the Castle:
Heavy traffic should be considered when planning your travel time. Take I-95 North out of Boston to Exit 45, then route 128 North to Exit 14. Turn right onto Route 133 to the very end of that highway, and with the ocean directly in front of you turn right onto Route 127. Approximately 3/4 of a mile from that intersection the road will begin to narrow. Look for a blue and white sign on your left for the castle, and turn onto Hesperus Avenue. The castle is just a few blocks down Hesperus Avenue on your left. Park in the lot off the street, and take the walkway and stairs down to the entrance.
