Meet Dr. Charles Macgill, a confederate political prisoner during the Civil War.

Join the spirit of Dr. Charles Macgill of Hagerstown, Maryland, in a stroll through Fort Warren as he reminisces about his confinement here as a political prisoner during the Civil War.

Hour-long tours depart from the Visitor Center at 11:15am and 1:15 pm.

Ferry service to the park is provided by Boston Harbor City Cruises. Scroll down to view and purchase ferry tickets online. Tickets can also be reserved over the phone at 617-227-4321, or in person at the ticket center at Long Wharf North. All ticket purchases are round-trip – there is no need to select a return time.
