Join us for an exciting program series that honors the contributions of Black women in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math.In this program, explore the work of Gladys West, a trailblazing mathematician whose work was crucial for the eventual development of the Global Positioning System, or GPS.
Be inspired by her work as you challenge yourself to some simple, hands-on, math activities.
This program series was created in combination with Ellice Patterson, Biologist and Founder/Artistic and Executive Director of Abilities Dance Boston, and a Discovery Museum Science & Engineering Communication Fellow.
