Do you wish you knew more about puppetry?Been wanting to dip your toes into puppet making?
This is the class for you!
Each class will kick off with a short performance video for inspiration, and then jump into hands-on activities in puppet making and manipulation — all designed around the limited supplies available at home.
In four sessions, we'll explore a range of puppetry styles and world traditions, including shadow puppetry, object puppetry, moving-mouth puppets, and even marionettes.
Before each class, a list of videos will be provided so students can prepare for that day’s topic — but don’t worry, it won’t feel like homework!
Students will leave the class with a new understanding of some of the key styles of puppetry from around the world, plus some new puppetry skills.
