The Caribbean is a global biodiversity hotspot, but it is also among the most threatened regions of the world in terms of its endemic species, native forests, and coral reefs.

A gorgeous and startling array of creatures occupying land, rivers and ocean are teetering on the edge of extinction.

A community of stalwart conservationists is determined to change this picture, and help the region move into a nature-rich and more positive future.

Learn about the specific challenges this area is experiencing and be inspired by innovative solutions that are being tried right now.

Our focus will be on the jungles and coral reefs of Belize, but with a sprinkling of supportive examples from Jamaica, Cuba, and Florida as well.

Dinner will include some of the distinctive common elements shared by Caribbean cuisines- an eclectic mix of native, African, Indian, Chinese and British influences that mirror the region’s colorful but tortured history.

Location-themed buffet dinner and lecture or lecture only.

Pre-registration required for dinner by 5pm Tuesday, November 1.

Online registration available.
