Every parent, grandparent, and great grandparent wants their children to understand the value of a hard-earned dollar, to understand how to overlay values in financial decisions, to feel the sense of purpose and meaning that leads to a happy adulthood.

What are the tools we have at our disposal to accomplish this?

How does wealth impact our kid’s abilities to learn these lessons?

This interactive workshop will discuss how wealth can impact children at different stages of cognitive development.

How this impact shines a fresh perspective and new light on some of the conventional wisdom around wealth planning.

We will discuss tips for teaching kids about money and investing and introduce tools to help navigate some of the road-blocks wealth can create as children learn to find value in themselves.

Our discussion will be informed by decades of experience and research as wealth advisors and decades of experience as parents, with children ages 2 months - adult.

Speakers:

Susan Dahl – Susan’s career in finance began in 1987 and has included roles from Institutional Portfolio Manager to Chief Investment Officer to CEO.

She was recently asked to give a TED talk called 'Can Happy Make You Money.' With three boys, one girl and many pets, organization and good refereeing skills have been a must.

Gardening and an affinity for herbal tea help keep it all in balance.

Liz Darling – Liz is a mom to 4 children ages 9 to 14 who keep her very busy especially on the soccer fields.  Liz is the new mom to a furry puppy whom she loves to take on walks.  Before wealth management, Liz had a career in the real estate investment management industry.

Jessica Grande – In addition to over a decade worth of experience in the wealth management industry, Jessica is also well-versed in all matters related to the Disney princesses with two young daughters.

When Jessica is not helping clients take control over their finances or designing a “bad fairy” costume, she enjoys reading, true crime podcasts and barre classes.
