Dr. Currie is a lecturer in data and society in Science, Technology and Innovation Studies at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and focuses on open and administrative data, welfare algorithms, social services automation, activist data practices, and more.

This discussion is part of the Leventhal’s online conversation series “Angles on Bending Lines: How Data Can Warp Our World” which centers on the biases and distortions that lurk within data sets and are reflected in the results and policies they often inform.

This event is free to the public and streamed live on the Leventhal’s YouTube and Facebook channels.
