The Phoenix, a nonprofit organization that fosters a supportive, sober active community for individuals recovering from substance use as well as allies and supporters of those in recovery, will host a “Coffee with the Founder” meetup with the nonprofit’s Founder and National Executive Director Scott Strode to provide support and engage in meaningful conversations with the sober healing community.

The event will be held at The Phoenix’s Boston location in Newmarket Square.

The event will feature light refreshments, games, and conversations with others who are also recovering from addiction.

The “coffee talk” initiative is an effort to unite the community by welcoming older and younger adults who may be experiencing social isolation in local sober homes.

As is the case with of The Phoenix’s programming, the event is free to anyone with 48 hours of continuous sobriety from alcohol and nonprescription drugs.

Since 2006, The Phoenix’s free sober active community has inspired more than 104,000 people to believe they have the strength to rise from the ashes of addiction through the support of those who are walking that very same path.
