Portuguese and Lusophone-World Lecture Series: The Portuguese and Cod Fishing in the Northwest Atlantic, a Legendary Heritage with Álvaro Garrido.

Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra, Álvaro Garrido will be detailing the legacy of Atlantic cod fishing in Southern European countries and the evolution and impact of the Portuguese market.

This event is co-sponsored by the Department of Portuguese and Brazilian Studies of Brown University and the FLAD - Luso-American Foundation, of Lisbon and the Center for Portuguese Studies and Culture at UMass Dartmouth.
