Explore the untold stories of design now!

Do you question where the BIPOC designers are in the design canon?

Have you wondered why they have been largely absent from design histories?

Cheryl D. Holmes-Miller, a legendary figure in design, has dedicated decades to scholarship and activism, establishing herself as a touchstone and conscience for the design profession.

Her long-awaited book is finally here, and it documents a critical dialogue she has been championing for years: “Where are the Black designers?” This book is an essential resource for anyone committed to understanding the full landscape of design history and advocating for greater inclusion and representation.

Please join us on November 7 for a fireside chat with Dr. Miller on her book, 'Here, Where the Black Designers Are', moderated by Dr. Aisha Densmore-Bey, followed by a book signing with an option to purchase the book provided by Katherine Small Gallery.
