Children’s Services of Roxbury (CSR) is pleased to host Juan Vega, Assistant Secretary for Communities and Programs at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Economic Development, as the featured guest for our next ROXTalks event.

On Tuesday, Jan. 27, from 12 to 1 p.m., Vega and CSR President and CEO Sandra M. McCroom will address the crucial role that state resources play in expanding upward economic mobility in communities of color.

All are welcome to join this free virtual event by registering HERE.

With financial opportunities for marginalized populations continuing to dwindle, this episode of CSR’s ROXTalks series will examine issues critical to reversing that trend.

The conversation will focus on how state investment, local partnerships, and community-led strategies can strengthen economic mobility and create opportunity.

Vega and McCroom will examine the impact of factors like transportation, childcare, and housing, and share examples of the good work being done to reduce obstacles to prosperity in communities of color.
