Fado is renowned for its expressive, profoundly melancholic character, and for its poetic lyrics.
Artists such as Amalia Rodrigues, Carlos do Carmo, and Mariza have been worldwide ambassadors of this music.
Javier Limón has produced many fado albums, including one of the latest albums by Mariza.
For this unique concert, Limón has carefully chosen repertoire that travels from traditional fado to Cape Verdean and Brazilian music.
Performers will include outstanding Berklee students who will accompany extraordinary fado artists.
