Accompanied by pianist Renate Rohlfing, Bullock will perform the music of Luciano Berio and Olivier Messiaen and selections by jazz masters, Billy Taylor and Oscar Brown paying homage to Josephine Baker.

The night begins with Olivier Messiaen’s “From Chants de terre et de ciel” continuing with a medley of Francis Poulenc’s “Métamorphoses,” followed by arrangements by Jeremy Siskind.

Continuing with Xavier Montsalvatge’s “From Cinco canciones negras,” the night comes to a close with Oscar Brown, Billy Taylor, and Harry T.

Burleigh.
Bullock, who was recently heralded in The New York Times as an “impressive, fast-rising soprano… poised for a significant career,” has been called a “showstopper,” by The San Francisco Chronicle and a “beauty of sound,” by Opera News.
Currently pursuing an Artist Diploma at The Juilliard School, Bullock earned her bachelor’s degree from the Eastman School of Music and her master’s degree through Bard College’s Graduate Vocal Arts Program where she was the first recipient of the Mimi Levitt Scholarship and won Bard College’s 2010 Concerto Competition.

Bullock’s passion and dedication for her art has earned her numerous awards of the highest honors, including the 2012 Young Concert Artists International and the 2014 Naumburg International Vocal Competition.
Rohlfing, a highly experienced and versatile pianist, hails from Honolulu, Hawaii, where she began piano studies at the age of four.

At 15, she made her orchestral debut with the New Orleans Symphony, performing Tchaikovsky's Concerto No.

1 while simultaneously touring Japan on a solo concert tour.

A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, SUNY Stony Brook, and The Juilliard School, Rohlfing is a highly sought after vocal accompanist, most recently performing with baritone Timothy McDevitt and soprano Sarah Wolfson.

The New York Times hailed Rohlfing’s interpretation of various works by Webern as 'graceful yet variegated.'
