The joy of hearing the dazzling music of Johann Sebastian Bach presented for a full day waits all at Boston Bach Birthday 330 on Saturday, March 21.
Held at the First Lutheran Church from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., this JSB birthday observance opens with a Children’s event followed by a sequence of ten Bach concerts.
Children will be invited to experience the sounds of a pipe organ and have the opportunity to play the instrument.
The performers include internationally renowned artists and four students from distinguished schools of music.
First Lutheran will provide noontime sustenance with their popular German lunch.
At 8:00 p.m. the day of tribute to Bach continues at Emmanuel Church with Emmanuel Music’s performance of the St.
John Passion.
In homage to the universality of Bach’s music, admission to BBB330 is free, and all are invited to attend any or all of the events.
