Marlon Saunders '87 is a former Berklee professor who has just returned from touring with Stevie Wonder on his Songs in the Key of Life tour.

Saunders was also the vocal contractor for Sam Smith and Bastille, and has worked with various artists including Michael Jackson, Lauryn Hill, Javier Colon, Billy Joel, and Sting, among many others.

He has sung on over 100 radio and television commercials such as Oscar Mayer, Pizza Hut, Bud Lite, Diet Coke, and Swiffer.

As a vocal coach, Saunders has worked with artists from all major recording labels as well as Broadway artists currently in The Color Purple, Beautiful, The Lion King, and Book of Mormon.

He appears as the calypso singer in the popular Disney film Enchanted, singing the Academy Award–nominated song “That’s How You Know” with Amy Adams; the song also received best song nominations at the Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Awards.

Saunders performed “That’s How You Know” live at the 80th annual Academy Awards with Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth.

Cofounder of the group Jazzhole, a New York–based band widely regarded as one of the key members of the acid jazz movement, Saunders also cofounded the Afrocentric soul/jazz vocal ensemble Sepia, known throughout the world for their soul-stirring lyrics and beautiful harmonies.

Shea Rose '11 is a singer-songwriter, performing artist, and activist for using music for social change.

She explores soul, rock, and hip-hop while empowering her community and defining herself as a tastemaker and curator of music, fashion, and arts culture.

Since graduating from Berklee, Rose has been described by former Boston Globe music critic Steve Morse as “that rare artist who can bridge diverse styles such as soul, funk, rock, rap, and jazz, and bring her unique stamp to each.' Rose is a featured songwriter and performer on two Grammy-winning jazz albums, The Mosaic Project and Money Jungle: Provocative in Blue, both produced by legendary drummer Terri Lyne Carrington and featuring an all-star cast of musicians including Esperanza Spalding, Patrice Rushen, and Herbie Hancock.

Rose received a Society of European Stage Authors and Composers National Performance Activity Award for her collaboration on The Mosaic Project.

She has shared the stage with Gladys Knight, Macy Gray, Nneka, Alice Smith, and Talib Kweli, among others.
