A pianist, composer, and arranger, Latin Grammy winner Pablo Ziegler is one of the most important figures in Argentine new tango, the vibrant musical hybrid of classic tango and American jazz.

After performing in tango grand maestro Astor Piazzolla’s legendary quintet for more than a decade, Ziegler has led his own groups for over 20 years, refining and reimagining the boundaries of the tango tradition.

Pablo Ziegler Meets Berklee will feature a large student orchestra performing Ziegler’s inspired compositions and arrangements.

The concert is produced by faculty member Oscar Stagnaro, with faculty members Nando Michelin as musical director and Lee Abe as vocal coordinator.

The first half of the performance will feature Berklee students performing a tango in the contemporary style.
