Internationally acclaimed, he won an Academy Award for best original song for the title song for the film Never on Sunday.
Much of this music comprises songs whose lyrics come from the verses of the greatest Greek poets of the century, including Nobel laureates Odysseus Elytis and Giorgos Seferis.
All arrangements are original and are designed to bring out the subtleties, beauty, and idiosyncrasies of the beautiful music of Hadjidakis.
