7:00 p.m.: Pre-Concert Conductor's Talk
8:00 p.m.: Concert

In the season's opening concert, we explore the mosaics of music and feature Nathaniel Taylor, 2017 Boston Conservatory Concerto Competition Winner, playing Elgar's witty Cello Concerto.

Enjoy the views along the Rhine River as experienced and captured in music by composer Robert Schumann in his 'Rhenish' Symphony.

Each movement of Philip Glass' Concerto Grosso explores the sounds of a distinctive instrumental group that make up a symphonic whole.

'Every now and then we run across a young talent that is remarkable.

When I first heard Nathaniel in competition last year, I was immediately engaged by his music making and his honest ability to communicate to me, the listener,' says Maestro Jonathan McPhee.

Don't miss this spectacular evening of music.
