Heritage Chorale Pops Concert: Humor Us!

Join us Sunday, February 11th, at 4:00pm for a hilarious celebration of songs with a comical twist will delight and enchant you.

They'll have you smiling, chuckling, chortling, and maybe even laughing out loud!
Enjoy the mock-seriousness of “Jack cum Amico Jill” — the Latin version of “Jack and Jill” — and foot-stomping Liebeslieder Polkas by P.D.Q.

Bach, inspired by the famous “Love-Song Waltzes” (Liebeslieder-Walzer) by Brahms.

Encounter a veritable menagerie of animals-in-song, including “Mary Had a Little Lamb” (in settings that might have been created by Schubert or Verdi), a whole barn-full of animals in Copland’s “I Got Me a Cat,” the famous blind mice in Porter’s “Mouse Madrigal,” and even the whiting and the snail in Lewis Carroll’s “Lobster Quadrille” from “Alice in Wonderland.” Relive some childhood memories when you hear Allan Sherman’s classic letter from camp, “Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh.” And commiserate with our alto section (who never seem to get to sing the melody!) in “The Alto’s Lament.”

We hope this concert will encourage you always to “Look on the Bright Side of Life”!

Before and after the concert, enjoy the Chorale's 2nd Annual Silent Auction – tickets, restaurant gift cards, sewing lessons, and a world of other wonderful items will be featured.
The Heritage Chorale, conducted by renowned Boston-area music director John Finney, is a nonprofit organization of accomplished singers dedicated to performing high quality choral music.

We are committed to standards of excellence in our rehearsals and performances, and seek to inspire in ourselves and our Metrowest audience a greater love of music and community.
